1 Year Anniversary

 We celebrated our one year anniversary, I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since we got married! 

I saved the final page of our wedding scrapbook for our one year anniversary, so after I get photos printed, I can finally finish it! 

We started our festivities by having dessert after lunch. We got a small simple white vanilla cake with blue flowers (our wedding colors) from Whole Foods, as well as some mini pastries. The usual one year anniversary tradition is to eat a frozen cake slice from the wedding, but since we had a destination wedding, we had no way of transporting our cake home. But, getting a new cake was just as fun! 


Then, we got dinner and drinks at a restaurant. 

After that, we took a painting class and painted our pet lizards! We had so much fun painting and drinking wine, since painting is something we both enjoy doing as a hobby. We have also been wanting some more art to hang up on our walls, so hanging up something we painted ourselves is even more special!

Wedding Registry Guide

 Most couples today, myself included, live together before getting married which means that they already have everything they need for their home. We filled our wedding registry with gifts we want rather than need, since we already had all the essentials .  We registered at a few different places so that guests had options to choose from. We registered at Target, Amazon, Sur la Table, and we organized everything on The Knot . The Knot's registry allowed us to add gifts from anywhere and it synced our other registries all in one place.  In our kitchen, we already had all the essential baking dishes, cutting boards, measuring tools, bowls, and cooking utensils. Welcome Gifts for Destination Wedding

We wanted to show our appreciation to everyone that came to celebrate us with a welcome gift. We passed them out at the welcome party which was the day before the wedding.  This canvas bag was both a gift bag for the welcome party and a beach bag for the remainder of the vacation. We put the rest of the gifts inside the bag and wrote each guest's name on an attached gift tag. The canvas bags were handmade by my mom using 100% cotton canvas fabric. Then, I made iron on decals using my Cricut and used my local library's heat press to stick them on the bag.  Inside the welcome bags, we put a bag of local Dominican coffee. We put each bag of coffee into a burlap organza bag from Amazon tied with ribbon and a gift tag made with my Cricut.  Each guest also received a t-shirt in their size. Bridesmaid Proposal Box

 I asked my bridesmaids with a bridesmaid proposal box. I made them to fit the theme by using items that can be used during travel and vacation, and everything was in our wedding color scheme. I took inspiration from boxes that I saw on Pinterest and I noticed that most bridesmaid proposal boxes are filled with treats, beauty products, and accessories.   I started with a plain white box , but there are plenty of decorative boxes that can be found in stores and online as well. Most boxes I saw in stores were a little too big for my gifts, but I found perfect sized boxes on SHEIN.  I filled the box with gold crinkle paper , they can be found in any color. I did not see the gold anywhere in stores, so I bought it from Aliexpress.  For the treat, I filled white organza bags with white Hershey kisses .
