Welcome Gifts for Destination Wedding
This canvas bag was both a gift bag for the welcome party and a beach bag for the remainder of the vacation. We put the rest of the gifts inside the bag and wrote each guest's name on an attached gift tag. The canvas bags were handmade by my mom using 100% cotton canvas fabric. Then, I made iron on decals using my Cricut and used my local library's heat press to stick them on the bag.
Inside the welcome bags, we put a bag of local Dominican coffee. We put each bag of coffee into a burlap organza bag from Amazon tied with ribbon and a gift tag made with my Cricut.
Each guest also received a t-shirt in their size. I made the shirts using blank t-shirts from a craft store, made iron on decals with my Cricut, and stuck them on with a heat press at my local library. The guests all got blue t-shirts to match the wedding color scheme and we were the only ones who wore white with 'just married' written on the back.
We asked our guests to wear the t-shirts at lunch on the beach the day after the wedding. My husband and I also wore our bride and groom hats that were a gift from Majestic Resorts. We all took a group photo after lunch.
Our guests loved their welcome gifts, we gave them something local from the destination and a cute bag and shirt that they could use during the trip and as a keepsake afterwards.
