Wedding Registry Guide

Most couples today, myself included, live together before getting married which means that they already have everything they need for their home. We filled our wedding registry with gifts we want rather than need, since we already had all the essentials

We registered at a few different places so that guests had options to choose from. We registered at Target, Amazon, Sur la Table, and we organized everything on The Knot. The Knot's registry allowed us to add gifts from anywhere and it synced our other registries all in one place.

In our kitchen, we already had all the essential baking dishes, cutting boards, measuring tools, bowls, and cooking utensils. However, we registered for newer pots, pans, a bread knife, and storage containers to replace some old ones. We already had basic kitchen appliances such as a blender, tea kettle, mini grill, waffle maker, Kitchen Aid mixer, and toaster oven. We did register for a fancy espresso machine, Sodastream, and CrockPot. We also had dishes, silverware, drink ware, and bar accessories. However, you can never have too many serving dishes, place mats, kitchen towels, and oven mitts.

For our bedroom, we registered for bedding and pillows since you can never have too many.

We registered for a lot of bathroom items such as towels, shower curtains, and rugs.

We added larger general home item. Even though we already had two regular vacuums and one Roomba, we registered for another Roomba to put on .

Our home was pretty well decorated already, except for a few finishing touches. We already had pillows, mirrors, wall art, curtains, and general decor. We registered for a lamp, some rugs, and picture frames to hang our wedding photos up.

Since we moved over the summer, we already had all of our outdoor essentials such as patio furniture, a grill, and bicycles.

We decided to register a few things just for fun. Some of them being LEGO, surround sound speaker system, cook books, a robot litter box for our cat, candles, and wine. We registered for a lot of gift cards to different stores, restaurants for date nights, and experiences like a cooking class or a couples massage.

We already had luggage, but that would have been a perfect thing to register for just in time for traveling.
