Our Experience at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana

Before the wedding, we were greeted at the lobby with moist towels and a welcome drink. They gave us bride and groom wristbands at check in and these were also the key to our room. Our butler gave us a tour of the resort and then showed us to our room, which was very clean and had a beautiful ocean view. We were welcomed with a bottle of champagne, two bottles of Dominican liquor, and plenty of snacks and drinks.

After the wedding, we had a few "honeymoon" activities that were included in our wedding package. We had a spa day package, which we ended up breaking up into two days to squeeze into our busy schedule. It started off with a couples massage and champagne, it was so relaxing. The next day, we drank champagne again and relaxed in the spa for another hour. We used the sauna, steam room, and a hot tub jacuzzi. There was also a cryotherapy tub, which was a tub of icy cold water, and we were supposed to submerge ourselves in there right before going into the hot tub jacuzzi. I could not handle cold temperatures so I skipped that step but my husband did it and he said it felt really good afterwards. The morning after the wedding, we had a romantic breakfast delivered to our room. We enjoyed it on our balcony with a view of the ocean. Later that night, we had a romantic dinner on the beach. We were served lobster and steak with wine. It was very delicious. A photographer arrived towards the end of the dinner and took photos of us.

We spent the rest of our stay at Majestic Elegance relaxing by the beach and pool, doing yoga and dancing on the sand. My husband went golfing one morning with his friends.

The service at Majestic Elegance was top tier, especially being part of the Elegance Club. It was worth the extra cost to get more restaurant, bar, and lounge options as well as an adult only pool and beach area, we even had a butler who took really good care of us. The room service was always on time. When we ordered breakfast for 8am the night before, it was delivered at exactly 8:00 the next morning. When they say the order will be delivered in 45 minutes, it always takes exactly 45 minutes.

There were many restaurants at the resort, the food was delicious. Flavours, which is the main buffet, was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It offered plenty of food options. My favorite was the pasta bar. See & Sea was the restaurant on the beach. It was open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They had a buffet for breakfast and lunch. I always got the oatmeal and hot chocolate with my breakfast. Il Bottaccio was the Italian restaurant, it was open for breakfast and lunch only for Elegance Club members. The breakfast at Il Bottaccio was our favorite and we went there the most, everything we ordered was so delicious. El Asadito was the steakhouse, it was only open for dinner. I had the grilled salmon, it was very delicious. Limited Gourmand was one of the restaurants that requires reservations. I had the filet mignon and thought it was amazing, my husband just thought it was okay. 9 Doors was the Japanese restaurant and it also requires reservations. It had hibachi style cooking, which was so much fun. They also had a sushi bar, which was pretty good. McJestic was the late night fast food restaurant, it was really nice to be able to get a late night snack when all the other restaurants were closed. Overall, the food was amazing.

There were plenty of bars all over the resort. Most bars had a menu, which was really nice, it helped me try new drinks rather than having to remember a classic cocktail off the top of my head.

Every night, there was a lot of entertainment at the resort. There was live piano playing at the piano bar, different shows at the theatre every night, live music at the bar plaza, the casino, the night club, and plenty of bars. They had an escape room as well, but it was an extra charge and we ran out of time to try it.

Overall, staying at the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana was an amazing experience with both our wedding and the resort itself. We will definitely be returning someday.
