Our Destination Wedding at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana - 01.05.24

 The morning of our wedding, my husband and I ordered room service breakfast to enjoy together before going our separate ways to get ready for the big day. I put on my robe and 'I do' slippers, then I met up with my bridal party in the lobby to get taken to the salon. Our wedding coordinator, Jennisferl, helped us every step of the day and she made sure everything was perfect. 

I got both my hair and makeup done at the Majestic Elegance salon, bride goes last, and they did an amazing job. They had a book with hairstyles and I chose one of them. I showed them a makeup inspiration photo from Pinterest. 

Once we finished at the salon, we were taken back to my room to continue getting ready. The groom was in another room with his groomsmen and the photographer was taking photos of them at the moment. We hired WBA Studios to take our wedding photos and they all turned out so beautifully. 

 I got back to the room with the rest of the bridal party and we had lunch waiting for us. We had bottles of champagne, orange juice, sandwiches, and cupcakes. The photographer arrived and she took photos of us in our robes and putting our dresses on. 

I got my bouquet, which was a large bouquet of orchids and tropical greenery. My bridesmaids all had smaller orchid bouquets. My corsage and my husband's boutonniere were orchids as well. 

It was time for the ceremony. I was taken to the lobby while everyone else got set up for the ceremony. Our ceremony was at the garden gazebo and it was decorated with blue and white drapery and chair covers. Since we had an uneven number of bridesmaids and groomsmen, every other groomsman walked with two bridesmaids. The ceremony was a one hour Catholic ceremony. 

After the ceremony, we had a champagne toast with all the guests and took group photos on the staircase in the lobby. 

Then, we took bridal party photos in the garden while the rest of our guests enjoyed cocktail hour at the piano bar. 

Finally, we took romantic photos on the beach. 

It was time for the reception in the ballroom. When guests walked into the ballroom, there was a table with wedding favors and our 'guest book' to sign. The ballroom was decorated in white and blue table and chair covers. The centerpieces were all orchids with tropical greenery. My husband and I had our own sweetheart table. We also upgraded the dance floor and got a starlit dance floor, which looked so beautiful and we had so much fun dancing on it.

We started off with our grand entrances. Then, we had our first dance. 

After that, it was a combined father/daughter and mother/son dance. 

Finally, we did the cake cutting. We had orchids and palm leaves on a three tier cake. Each tier had a different flavor: chocolate cake with strawberry filling, vanilla cake with chocolate filling, and vanilla cake with Bavarian cream filling.

Dinner came next, we chose the fancy buffet. There was a wide variety of appetizers, entrees, and sides as well as a full dessert table. 

After dinner, the DJ started playing party music. We hired the Majestic Resorts DJ and he did a phenomenal job, everyone was raving about how good the music was. He played a good mix of everything written on our digital planner and he mixed and faded each song in and out really smoothly. All of our guests had a really good time dancing. The bartenders were constantly walking around with trays of shots and getting guests out onto the dance floor. 

The reception ended at 11pm and we went straight to our room. Our door had a 'just married' sash. The room was cleaned and there were flower petals on the bed along with some cute towel art. The jacuzzi tub was filled with water and bubble bath with more flower petals. I was so excited to clean all the makeup and hair product off and we just relaxed in the tub drinking champagne. 

Our wedding was a 10/10 experience at the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana, and this was not even the end of our amazing vacation.
