Tropical Bridal Shower
My bridal shower was tropical beach themed with the same color scheme as the wedding which was robin's egg blue with white and gold accents.
The invitations had a beach design and they came with a matching recipe card for each guest to fill out and put inside our recipe box. These were ordered on Zazzle.
The venue was at a local downtown restaurant that had a private party room. We came in early to set up our decorations, appetizers, and dessert table.
My mom and I made a welcome sign using a blank canvas, faux flowers from a craft store, and vinyl decals made with my Cricut.
My mom made a photo backdrop using a large ring and decorated it with faux flowers, draping fabric, and our initials made from gold cardstock on my Cricut.
Each table had a table cloth sprinkled with gold confetti, a floral centerpiece, and bridal shower favors.
I made a charcuterie board as an appetizer. This was a big hit with all the guests. Everyone was coming up and getting snacks while waiting for lunch to be served. The bar was serving mimosas as well.
For lunch, we had a buffet with caesar salad, fresh bread, roasted vegetables, carbonara pasta, chicken, and beef.
We brought our own desserts for the dessert table. A few of my aunts, my mom, and mother in law all made desserts. I also ordered macarons from a local small business.
The macarons were all in the wedding color scheme. The blue macarons were birthday cake flavored, white were vanilla, and gold were chocolate hazelnut.
Activities for the afternoon included bridal shower games, lunch, and opening gifts.
We bought tropical thank you cards on Amazon and wrote a card for each guest after the bridal shower.
